Strawberry Shortcake Bites (Paleo, AIP)
These strawberry shortcake bites have all the flavor of the dessert you love but none of the gluten, eggs, nuts, or dairy! These are totally Paleo and even AIP! Shared with permission from The Paleo Kids Cookbook by Jennifer Robins.
Savory Dairy-Free Cream “Cheese” (Paleo, Vegan)
Before I went Paleo, bagels + cream cheese were a staple breakfast for me. Now I can enjoy a healthier version of my favorite breakfast treat with this dairy-free savory cream “cheese” and these Paleo everything bagels.
Perfect Paleo and AIP Chicken Pot Pie
Chicken pot pie is such an amazing winter comfort food. After creating the perfect paleo and AIP friendly crust in my steak and kidney pie, I knew I had to make a chicken pot pie too. Enjoy!
Quick and Easy Salvadoran Curtido (spicy slaw)
While traditionally served with the (not Paleo) Salvadorin delicacies pupusas, curtido is one of my favorite condiments to pair with grilled meats and fish. If you’re looking for a great way to use cabbage, try this spicy slaw! No mayo, plus a nightshade-free option for the AIP. Enjoy!
Southern Style Paleo Biscuits + Everyday Grain-Free Baking
It’s totally natural for us to crave non-paleo foods that used to be staples, especially the made-from-scratch-and-lots-of-love, culturally-relevant recipes. Southern-style biscuits are a perfect example – one that I’ve missed dearly since going paleo 5 years ago. Thanks to Kelly at The Nourishing Home, authentic Southern-style biscuits are back on the menu for me again! Check out this recipe from her cookbook Everyday Grain-Free Baking and get a sneak peek inside this gem of a book!
How to Make Puerto Rican Pasteles (paleo, AIP option)
I am excited to introduce you to a wonderful naturally paleo dish from Puerto Rico called “pasteles”. Pasteles are similar to tamales, but the dough is made from gluten-free and grain-free tropical fruit, root, and vegetable starches. Pasteles are a traditional holiday food in Puerto Rico, with many families making them while everyone is together. Having extra hands does make the process go a lot faster! I hope you enjoy the recipe, and don’t forget to watch the videos I made to accompany it — they are critical for your success in making these!
Autoimmune Paleo Apple Crisp
Nothing says Fall like a warm, gooey bowl of apple crisp! Now you can enjoy this delicious treat even if you are autoimmune paleo in this nut-free, seed-free paleo version! Of course, it’s also grain-free and dairy-free 🙂
Rich & Creamy Dairy-Free Beef Liver Pâté With Blueberry Jelly
Shortly after I went on the autoimmune paleo protocol I got a hankering for pâté. Unfortunately, most pâté recipes contain one or more non-AIP ingredients, like butter, alcohol, or prohibited spices. I had tried some AIP pâté that was just pureed liver, onion, and seasonings and I was not impressed with the texture. I wanted to mimic that rich, creamy texture that butter lends a pâté, yet I needed to keep it dairy-free. Check out the secret ingredient I used here to get that perfect silky smooth texture!
Dairy-Free Mint Chip Ice Cream
I don’t think I have ever been this excited about an e-book before. My friends Vivian of The Real Food Guide and Jennifer of Predominantly Paleo have put together an autoimmune paleo frozen treats book. There is no dairy, eggs, nuts, seeds, or chocolate in this book, but you won’t feel one bit deprived with these recipes!
